In line with the Reading Initiative being promoted by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the program is conducted Free of Cost for labour camp blue collar workforce earning less than AED 2,500.00 per month. Program helps them learn read books, thereby improving their English language skills.
Smartreading is a program of SmartLife; a non-profit organization licensed to operate by Community Development Authority, Dubai. The organization is run by a team of volunteer running various programs impacting the socio-economic status of Blue-collar workforce in Dubai.
Oman Insurance donated AED 10,000 towards the program.
