Another strong start to 2022 for Oman Insurance Company at 2022 World Business Outlook Awards

As testament to its exemplary services and excellence in motor insurance offerings, single-minded focus on all-rounded excellence, and a keen focus on continuous innovation and digitization, Oman Insurance Company (OIC) was recognised as the ‘Best Motor Insurance Provider – UAE’ and ‘Best Digital Insurer – UAE’ at the 2022 World Business Outlook Awards.


The Company has, to date, made remarkable progress in streamlining the motor claims process, automating manual tasks and reducing human intervention. The dedicated and collaborative efforts of its IT, Operations and Finance teams helped reduce the claims processing time by a whooping 50 percent. Adding further to customer convenience, SMS notifications were enabled at every stage of the process, thus allowing for increased transparency in services.


OIC has also made remarkable progress on digitization fronts through its digital investments in Cloud, Zero-Code, APIfication and remote technologies which have afforded it the opportunity to launch industry-leading automation and service availability. 


The augmentation of existing digital channels and launching of digital solutions across the business lines has helped Oman Insurance reduce turnaround times and improve customer satisfaction levels. Reductions achieved in motor claims processing with end-to-end integration, 99.9 percent of IT service availability, and enablement of medical reimbursement claim submission by partners leveraging the APIs are some examples of gains made in this regard.
