Our company was launched in 1975, almost half a century ago. Over these years we have built exceptional foundations, changed the company, and prepared ourselves for the future of insurance. It is time to reflect these changes and our values in a new brand. Our new brand name ‘Sukoon’ means peace of mind in Arabic, Urdu, and Hindi , 3 most widely spoken languages in the region. It precisely represents our evolution as a modern insurer that has pioneered innovation, provided unrivalled quality of service, and stood rock-solid to fulfil customer obligations. -
There will be no impact to your insurance coverage due to the rebrand. Sukoon is a registered trademark of Oman Insurance Company P.S.C., which remains the legal name of our company. All our registered products, customer and partner obligations remain intact.
All policy covers and related documents will remain valid until expiry or termination as per the standard terms and conditions. In case you have purchased a product before the launch of Sukoon, upon renewal, you will receive your policy documents with the new branding.

No, we have not been acquired. Mashreq bank is still the primary stakeholder in the company. Our Chairman, Members of the Board and Executive Committee continue to steer the firm just as before.

Our legal name is still the same i.e. Oman Insurance Company P.S.C. However, our brand name has changed to Sukoon. -
No, there will be no change to banking information including but not limited to IBAN, bank account numbers, online payment methods any current agreements in place to that effect. -
All our existing contracts, service level agreements and committed turnaround time remain unchanged until either expiry, or termination of such agreements., in accordance with standard policy terms and conditions. -
The claims process will remain the same as before. Please visit sukoon.com/claims for all details related to our claims processes. -
Our portal names and domains are updated in line with the new name. Please visit sukoon.com/digital-services to view and access all our portals, based on your requirement.
Our medical app ‘myOIC’ for claim reimbursement and servicing requests is now known as mySukoon. In case you already have ‘myOIC’ on your mobile phone, you will be prompted to refresh it. There are no changes in the app functionalities.

If you have used the Oman Insurance logo in any of your marketing materials including websites and portals, please assist us in updating them with our new Sukoon logo. If you have any queries while making the update, please contact your Relationship Manager at Sukoon.
